It was 1983, and the vision of what computer technology could provide for print
shop estimating and management was growing in the imaginations of Compu-ware Corporation.
Compuware shared a building with American Speedy Printing in the Detroit area. At
this point in time, computers had never been used to automate print shop estimating
and management.
In response to this vision of automation software for the printing industry, Printer’s
Plus was started by Compuware Corporation in 1983.
Julianne Finley, a Compuware
programmer, worked on the team to develop and enhance the Printer’s Plus product.
By 1994, Julianne’s expertise earned her the responsibility for the execution of
all programming efforts related to the product.
In 1996, Compuware was growing exponentially, and made the decision to sell Printer’s
Plus so they could concentrate on their core business activities. Julianne was able
to acquire the Printer’s Plus division, and along with her team, has continued to
develop and enhance the products offered by Printer’s Plus.
